After listening to the stinking, whining, threatening UAW president, and the Three Begging Stooges, I swear, if they get any bailout loan with my tax money, I will never, ever, buy a FORD, GM, or Chrysler again.

Let 'em feel the PAIN! Those whining, overpaid, arrogant, jet-setting CEOs and their whining, overpaid, arrogant UAWs.

(And I've been scouring EBay and Craigslist for GM gas-guzzling classics. That purchase is on hold now.)

So there.

Here is an "inconvenient truth" for people who think GM only builds "gas guzzling behemoths". GM builds 18 vehicles that get 30+ mpg. That is about the same number as Toyota, Honda and Nisan combined. What the foreign
automakers business blueprint includes is US taxpayers
taking care of their retirees when they jetison them after 30+ plus years of loyal servitude. When the Big 3
"shed" their pension and health care responsibilities, who do you think wil pick up that tab? With many new and inovative products coming out in the next 1.5 years, doesn't a bridge loan sound like a better alternative?

"Despite what you may be hearing, we are not asking Congress for a bailout but rather a loan that will be repaid."
REPAID?? From what...the profits?? wait, there haven't been any profits!!
The statement above is true to a point, until "we" go chapter ll and then the loan won't get repaid...will it?
25B$ won't do shit. This would be money thrown away.
Full disclosure.. I own three GM vehicles.

You are mean... but I love it! He is such a shill and such a waste of space and time. What kills me is the voters decided he was the "best" candadate. Kind of tells you all you need to know about Mass voters huh? Sinful...

This may sound mean, and I'm sure his speech impediment is legit, but isn't ironic that Barny Frank, the chairman of the Financial Committee sounds like a bumbling retard.

How appropriate. ; P

od, no! not this time... too much exposure for the liberals to pull off. Too many conservatives left (TG) to allow it. Not happening, this time anyway... maybe in January and it will be even a bigger mistake then!

Stu, I can't believe it. Haven't you learned that what ever the American populace wants our gov't to do, they do the exact opposite. I bet this will go through. Our (oops it's not ours, it's the powerful special interest LIKE THE CAR industry and Unions) Congress is just putting up a show, in hopes of appeasing the public.

Just watch. They will get the money.

I got a similar email from a GM dealer and replied I wasn't interested in being an unpaid lobbyist for GM.

I watched the Big 3 begging in front of Congress. The best question/comment was they should be evaluated individually to see if they were going concerns - in a shrinking market there isn't need for 3, you could have heard a pin drop. To qualify for the pending $25B energy efficiency loan they have to attest they expect to be a going concern - so they're either lying or arguing against themselves
